He was a Polish-British sociologist and philosopher from 19 November 1925 until 9 January 2017. Throughout the 1968 Polish constitutional crisis, he had to give up his Polish citizenship and was expelled from the Polish People's Republic.He emigrated to Israel, moving to the United Kingdom three years later. From 1971 he remained in England and studied at the London Economics Department. Later, he was named as an Emeritus Professor of Sociology in Leeds.
