Bobby Roode

Rob Van Dam

Rob Van Dam

Earl Hebner should definitely be in the WWE Hall of Fame.

Stone Cold Steve Austin

WWE dropped the ball with ‘Tough Enough.’

Stone Cold Steve Austin

In the wrestling world, you had WWE, WCW, and smaller promotions that were like the independents. I look at it as craft beer being the independent beer makers. It’s the indie scene.

Stone Cold Steve Austin

When I came to WWE back in the day, I’d been working seven-and-a-half years, and I was very frustrated. I started getting some momentum, and my work was very vicious, and it was very believable.

Stone Cold Steve Austin

I might be the only guy in WWE who isn’t acting ever.

Dean Ambrose

What I do in WWE is essentially a lovable bad guy.

Dean Ambrose

Dean Ambrose

The WWE Championship is the greatest championship in the history of this sport. It has the most history of anything.

Dean Ambrose

Dean Ambrose

I’ve been around in WWE for quite a while now and before that had – even in Florida – I’ve been all around the world and seen every type of style in opponent; the way I was trained and stuff, I got a lot more tricks up my sleeve.

Dean Ambrose

You’ll find that all WWE performers, when they go on to any television show or set of any kind, we’re more prepared that we get credit for. We don’t get enough credit.

Dean Ambrose

WWE is like showbiz boot camp.

Dean Ambrose

In the back of my mind. I always knew WWE was where I should be and where I would end up. Or where I could end up. Where I deep-down wanted to end up.

Dean Ambrose

There’s a lot of guys in WWE – you would know who they are – you know you’re going to see the same thing every single match. You know you’re going to hear the same thing every time they pick up a microphone. You know John Cena is never going to get mad at you no matter what you do.

Dean Ambrose

From day one, The Shield was a vehicle. It wasn’t, ‘This is what we’re doing for the rest of our lives.’ It was, ‘This is the vehicle we’ll use to bust into WWE, to ride to the top of it, and then we fight each other.’ That was always the plan.

Dean Ambrose

WWE prepares you for so much other stuff in entertainment.

Dean Ambrose

I was at an ESPN event in the United States, the awards ceremony, and I got approached by the WWE. I had just retired, and, it’s a form of competition, but of course, it’s also scripted, so I don’t know if I’d be willing to relive that. Perhaps for a special event, so I could taste it.

Georges St-Pierre

I’m going to be an ambassador for WWE.

Brie Bella

Out in the WWE ring, we have to play so much bad guy, good guy, don’t talk to your competitors, but backstage, you’ll see that we’re all really close, and it affects us.

Brie Bella

When I graduated from Chaparral High School in Scottsdale, I made my way back to San Diego, which is where I was born. And I saw WWE Divas on television, and I thought to myself, ‘Oh my goodness, that is our calling.’

Brie Bella

We love to be athletic, but at the same time, we love to entertain. So my sister was actually looking to play pro soccer in Italy, and I convinced her. I said, ‘Please, there’s this thing called WWE Diva Search. I really want to go. I think we can do this.’ And sure enough, they gave my sister and me a shot.

Brie Bella

I came from the soccer world, so all I knew was get the ball in that net. And when you’re working with WWE, you’re pretty much doing stunt work. You have to train and make sure you’re safe and you’re safe for your opponent, but at the same time, you have to tell a story.

Brie Bella

I think the success of ‘Total Divas’ has opened people’s eyes to women in wrestling and to WWE divas.

Brie Bella

Nicole and I got into wrestling through diva search. It used to be this competition WWE would put on. I found them when I saw the Divas wrestling in the ring, and I kind of just knew it was our calling. I felt like this was exactly what we are meant to do in life. Not only are the girls so glamorous, but they are also very tough.

Brie Bella

For me, the best part of being Latina in the WWE is the feistiness I can bring to the ring.

Brie Bella

When I was first starting to achieve success in the WWE, I got to be surrounded by the last class of true greats, and they all had little tips and secrets. You learn a lot from watching somebody work.

John Cena

Undertaker certainly is a cornerstone of WWE, and just as I say to myself that I really would have liked to been able to get to know and certainly get in the ring with Andre the Giant, just because of all the respect and folklore that went around with Andre, I think The Undertaker has that same sort of respect and folklore around him.

John Cena

I’ve got my eye on Big Cass and Enzo Amore. I think they ooze everything that it takes to be a WWE superstar. They have so much energy. Those guys and the Vaudevillains are the guys I’ve been tipping my cap to on the viewership side.

John Cena

WWE is really focused on empowering the women.

John Cena

Being so doopity! It’s awesome. And I think it’s just one of the reasons that people should get hitched on with the WWE Network. It’s more than just these network specials like ‘WrestleMania’ and like ‘SummerSlam’. It’s programming geared for the WWE universe.

John Cena

Regardless of the perception that the talent may have or the Superstars may have, WWE’s business model is ‘give the fans what they want.’

John Cena

I really, really want the WWE to be able to perform on a regular basis in China. I think we should be able go to India on a regular basis.

John Cena

I don’t know why ESPN asked me to host the ESPYs. I think that they realize we, over at WWE, can engage a live audience. We certainly have an enormous following.

John Cena

I love traveling the world, meeting new people, and letting WWE fans know that the champ is out doing his thing and trying to spread the good word of WWE. I love the feeling of being the ambassador for the company.

John Cena

As soon as I found out there was a school you could go to to become a WWE superstar, I was immediately hooked.

John Cena

Just like I have my critics, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson has critics, and I was one of the biggest ‘Hey man, you’re never here’ guys around, but not anymore. He’s completely committed to WWE.

John Cena

My life is with WWE.

John Cena

I’ve been actively trying to extend my reach beyond WWE. I wanted to do some non-action related projects, stuff that will resonate with different audiences who might not know who I am.

John Cena

Believe it or not, I like the ‘Rumble.’ It’s extremely unpredictable and over-the-top. Everyone in the WWE universe looks forward to it. It becomes that one event each year where people center around.

John Cena

WWE has a very strong affiliation with Make-A-Wish, and we can provide a great experience. It’s extremely flattering that for one wish, a family would like to hang out with you. There’s nothing more flattering than that.

John Cena

I really want to thank the whole Phoenix-Scottsdale-Glendale area. It’s been a wonderful home for WWE for years.

John Cena

I’ve worked my entire career to try to broaden the perception of the WWE. A lot of folks think because we’re so entertaining and oftentimes have such wild and well-defined characters that it’s all we are. It has kind of been my life’s work to tell the public that’s not true.

John Cena

There is only one Dwayne Johnson. What Dwayne has done is absolutely fantastic. He had a vision when he was here at WWE. He promotes like a mad man. We’ll see how I do with John Cena before I can be mentioned in the company of Dwayne Johnson.

John Cena

I know my way around the WWE. I know at least a little bit about everything and our business model, and I feel comfortable there, although I still learn every day.

John Cena

I think that the potential of Total Divas and female athletes is that the sky is the limit. People want to know about these women, and in the WWE, we call it the Divas Revolution – it’s a movement for women’s empowerment.

John Cena

I think Edge has completely put himself on the map as a bona fide WWE superstar.

John Cena

Every time I’ve partnered with WWE, we’ve managed to pull off something extraordinary, but to be a part of the Tribute to the Troops special is definitely the highlight.

Machine Gun Kelly

The run that I had – which really was, like, four months in the WWE – it wasn’t great. But my opening day was great. My opening day was humongous. And then WrestleMania was pretty much my closing card. I did one ‘Raw’ after that, but that WrestleMania 18 match that I had with Christian, that was a hell of a match.

Diamond Dallas Page

I let the WWE control my destiny, and it didn’t work out so well.

Diamond Dallas Page

When I came into WWE after Monday Night Wars, it wasn’t my greatest time in the business… but they kept bringing me back.

Diamond Dallas Page

My business wouldn’t be doing as strong as it is without the support of WWE.

Diamond Dallas Page

In ECW, the fans would warm me up. I’d walk around the ring and slap hands with everyone and get ready for the match. I’d feed off that energy, I would use that to create positive energy. In WWE, it’s different. It’s a timed show; everything is timed. We know – when we get to the ring, we know when there’s a commercial.

Rob Van Dam

ECW was the most fun for me artistically. And then, WWE, it was also very fun, but that was part of it. It was also a very stressful, monotonous schedule. There was a lot of politics, adjusting to that, and I am not a politician, and I don’t play those games. So that was very frustrating for me as well.

Rob Van Dam

Really, I didn’t even want to go to WWE in 2001. I knew that it wasn’t my favorite style, my favorite showcasing of my abilities, but it was definitely the best business move. At the time, there was nowhere else to go anyway – ECW was gone, WCW was gone. So, when I first came in, I was seriously frustrated trying to adapt.

Rob Van Dam

In Total Nonstop Action, individual wrestlers have a lot more freedom to artistically express themselves versus WWE.

Rob Van Dam

WWE didn’t want RVD to get over when I was there. They tried so much to… to… not get me… to… to… keep me from that. They didn’t understand why the fans liked me, because I don’t fit the cookie cutter formula, because I am a non-conformist.

Rob Van Dam

When I was with WWE, people would have me sign merchandise that I didn’t even know existed.

Rob Van Dam

It was some great times and some great moments… I’m proud to be a WWE alumni. If it wasn’t for my time there, there’s no way I’d be excelling at Fox and acting.

Tyrus

I got catfished by WWE constantly. You’re 26 – 0, and then you run into the Big Show and then you’re 0 – 26.

Tyrus

I’m chomping at the bit for more movie roles as long as it doesn’t interfere with my WWE schedule.

Tyrus

Everything changes from week to week in WWE, and that’s what’s cool about it. All it takes is one minute you’re smiling and the next minute you can be a savage.

Tyrus

I think the WWE Universe have really accepted me, because they know I’m one of them.

Nita Strauss

The wrestling world lost Pedro Morales… I knew Pedro from all the years that I worked with WWE. From the time I first started there, he was always such a nice guy, very classy, and even later on, you could totally understand why someone would trust putting a world championship on a guy like that. And Pedro was ready for all types of action.

Sean Waltman

That first run in WWE, that 1-2-3 Kid run, definitely, that was my underdog cruiserweight thing, and Vince was behind it.

Sean Waltman

I think around the time that he signed with WWE, no one had more of a buzz in wrestling than Kenta, as far as this guy is, pound for pound, the best in the world. That’s the kind of talk you heard about.

Sean Waltman

Once I got my groove in WCW in ’97, I’m pretty proud of the things I did there. By the time I got to WWE for DX, I may not have been as quick, but I was so far more well-rounded and a much more of a ring general.

Sean Waltman

I kept my teaching certificate active while I was with WWE. It definitely wouldn’t be something that I’d mind going back to.

Michelle McCool

I can literally count on one and a half hands how many people in WWE treated me the same pre-Mark and post-Mark. Michelle McCool didn’t change, I’m still me. There were a ton of people that found out I was dating Mark and was like, ‘Oh, I better change my tune and be super nice.’

Michelle McCool

Love me or hate me, I hope the WWE Universe can respect that night in and night out, I’ve given it my all.

Michelle McCool

The WWE universe finally demanded that the girls get the attention that they deserve. I think women past, present, future, should forever be grateful for our super fans.

Michelle McCool

I’m not a patient person and sitting around the house waiting to get back to WWE does me no good.

Michelle McCool

The WWE have told me that if I ever want to become a wrestler, all I need to do is walk through the door, and they’ll give me a job straight away.

Brooke Hogan

For a long time when I was working to get a job and in OVW to create an image to get hired by WWE, they kept saying, ‘we’re looking for the next Trish Stratus. We want that look – that beautiful, feminine fitness model that kicks butt, and you just don’t fit the mold.’ That was holding me back for so long.

Beth Phoenix

The challenge with WWE was keeping up with the schedule and trying to stay healthy and uninjured during that time. Now, with motherhood, the biggest responsibility is trying to protect this little baby and care for her and her needs.

Beth Phoenix

As far as the experience level of some of the WWE divas, there are girls who get rushed along in the process. They’re beautiful and we want to get them on TV as soon as possible. Sometimes that doesn’t leave for a lot of time for wrestling training.

Beth Phoenix

That’s the beautiful thing about the WWE Universe: everybody has an opinion, and everybody can cheer and boo.

Bobby Roode

To me, I think I’ve always carried that type of WWE style with me throughout my career, even before I got here, so the transition hasn’t been that difficult. I’ve been enjoying the transition, to be honest with you, because in my opinion, this business evolves all the time, and it changes all the time.

Bobby Roode

I was in TNA for over a dozen years. I had a great run there – I had a great career – but obviously, WWE has always been the be-all, end-all of sports entertainment. Until you get there and experience it on a personal level, you just don’t know.

Bobby Roode

It was very spur of the moment. When I heard WWE was having tryouts… I would not let the opportunity pass me by. I hired someone to make my video, and I sent in the video, thinking nothing would come of it.

Alexa Bliss

I’ve said it before, that I think if we can have any woman from any other background to come into the WWE, it makes it better for the performers.

Alexa Bliss

I wasn’t featured in NXT. I never had a TakeOver match. I never held a title. I wasn’t a featured athlete. I knew, going in to SmackDown Live, I had to kick down the door and take every opportunity for what it was, and sometimes in WWE – and in life – those opportunities don’t come back.

Alexa Bliss

I try to make the most of every opportunity. If you don’t, especially in WWE, those opportunities won’t come around again.

Alexa Bliss

I told my mom: I said, ‘Mom, I’m going to try out for WWE.’ Her response was, ‘The heck you are!’ She was like, ‘You are not doing that!’ So I had to try out without her knowing, but now she’s, like, the biggest supporter and so proud of me.

Alexa Bliss

To portray something that you’re really not, it’s like a little escape, and I love to act and to be dramatic. I feel like the wrestling ring in WWE is the perfect platform to do that. It’s totally acceptable.

Alexa Bliss

I remember, even when I started with WWE, it was a different ball game. There were all these restrictions and things we couldn’t do, and now, it’s really empowering to know we can do anything that we want and what the guys can do. It gives women the opportunity to show why we’re more than divas and why we’re WWE superstars.

Alexa Bliss

It’s been an amazing journey that I’ve had with WWE.

Alexa Bliss

In WWE, a gay person is usually portrayed like some sort of comedy act to be mocked and laughed at. The world’s not like that anymore.

Kenny Omega

John Cena is one of the great WWE talents that I respect most. If I were to end up there, working with someone of his caliber would certainly be a goal and jive with my mission of changing wrestling.

Kenny Omega

Since I’m not in WWE, some people think I’m not even in their league. It’s easy for me to tune those people out because they have no idea what they’re talking about.

Kenny Omega

I’ll take all my matches against WWE’s best matches, I’ll put it up against Ring of Honor’s best matches, or whatever promotion you want, and I guarantee people will be more entertained with my matches than theirs.

Kenny Omega

Fans, wrestlers, and even the general public have been conditioned to believe that there’s an enormous skill gap between WWE and everyone else.

Kenny Omega

WWE, of course, has had some fantastic two out of three falls matches.

Kenny Omega

When I was growing up, I thought there was only WWE. That’s it. One promotion in the world. And then, as I grew up, I found that there’s local wrestling. There’s WCW, there’s ECW. In Mexico, there are the luchadores. And then, finally, I realized there’s wrestling in Japan.

Kenny Omega

The problem with Deep South to me is that there was a group that were tight with the boss, and they would always go out and drink and have barbeques. Then, when WWE would say, ‘Who should we look at?’ Bill Demott would say, ‘Oh, look at this guy and this guy.’ Of course those were his buddies.

Kenny Omega

Of course I’m not stupid enough to think that we could take on WWE head-on and win, because they’re too big of a monster.

Kenny Omega

When you are in WWE, you’re really strapped down by their rules and writing.

Kenny Omega

This IWGP title means more with me than any WWE championship.

Kenny Omega

The WWE belt means nothing; it means absolutely nothing. They pass around that belt like a hot potato. I probably have a neighbor on my block who held that belt at one point. There is no prestige to that belt whatsoever.

Kenny Omega

I love the WrestleMania, and I love my family WWE. The WWE know I am the legend forever.

The Iron Sheik

I never close the door on my company. WWE always there for the legend, and I love my boss the Mr. Vince Kennedy McMahon forever. He always show me that I am part of WWE family.

The Iron Sheik

I was the most hated wrestler in WWE, No. 1 company in the world.

The Iron Sheik

I was three times AAU All-American World Champion and I had rough time. I was broke, no money and everything was bad for me until WWE.

The Iron Sheik

It wasn’t until 2002 when I returned to WWE and until I had physically been out there – it was during the match when Kevin Nash blew his quad. That next morning, I was sitting on the plane, reading my Bible and the Book of Joshua, and this feeling came over me that I was back here for a reason. God built me to be a wrestler.

Shawn Michaels

We’re social media-driven now, the social media team is huge in WWE. It really helps expand our brand.

Bobby Roode

Being in the WWE is special; NXT was a great experience: being the champion and the face of the company was amazing.

Bobby Roode

As strong, beautiful, powerful women like the WWE Divas are, we should always support each other and always uplift each other.

Summer Rae

I am a ballroom dancer on WWE programming and in my personal life I am no dancer at all.

Summer Rae

The greatest thing about being a WWE Superstar is being able to reach so many people. We have so many young girls that look up to us and that drives me to lead by example.

Summer Rae

Spending so much time on the road is the biggest challenge for me with WWE. I’ve missed weddings and births. I’ve spent a lot of time away from my friends and family for so many years. That part is really hard.

Summer Rae

I went to my tryout in WWE, and I think within like six weeks, it was really fast for me, I was like down there, moved to Tampa, and the rest was history.

Summer Rae

I think the locker room gives you tough skin and that can only help in every aspect of life, not just in WWE.

Summer Rae

Something that’s interesting with season two of ‘Total Divas,’ Fandango and I’s relationship has been on the surface level, as far as WWE programming with ‘Monday Night Raw,’ ‘Main Event,’ ‘Friday Night SmackDown.’ You see us on camera and that’s about it.

Summer Rae

Being single and being in the WWE, a lot of times I think that I can’t have a husband or a boyfriend or a relationship because there are so many things that I want to accomplish.

Summer Rae

I’m a huge WWE fan, ‘Monday Night RAW’ especially.

Summer Rae

A couple jobs that I would love to do are hosting a television show, sideline reporting for the NBA or NFL, on-camera hosting for an entertainment network, event planning for a PR company or resort and, of course, WWE Diva!

Summer Rae

I think that being able to do a WWE studios film gives you confidence to say that I was able to go out there and accomplish something.

Summer Rae

For me, because of WWE programming, it’s easier for me to slip into someone that I’m not or someone that I always wanted to be and just haven’t had the guts to. So this super, horrible mean person, I personally don’t think it’s who I am outside of the ring, but maybe it’s someone I have always wanted to be and I just snapped.

Summer Rae

Of course WWE is a huge part of me and I will never shut that door fully.

Summer Rae

The WWE universe is unlike any other group of people.

Summer Rae

I was the first woman in WWE to ever be in a WWE Studios movie and was honored to be trusted with such an opportunity.

Summer Rae

I’m not interested in WWE at all.

Kazuchika Okada

Many people ask me about WWE and if I’d go to WWE in the future. They ask me if I’m going now. I will not go. I want to make New Japan Pro-Wrestling bigger.

Kazuchika Okada

New Japan is far superior to WWE when it comes to the quality of the roster and the quality of the matches.

Kazuchika Okada

Growing up, my wildest dream was always to be part of the WWE, and I’d been in NXT by that time for two and a half years, so I felt very, very ready to go.

Neville

Obviously, you know, when you talk about dream matches and you talk about the WWE, you can’t not mention John Cena.

Neville

No WWE talent becomes a legend on their own.

The Ultimate Warrior

The Ultimate Warrior character relative to professional wrestling or WWE, he’s definitely a Hall of Famer. He’s a Hall of Famer whether he gets into the Hall of Fame or not.

The Ultimate Warrior

All of a sudden, Hulk Hogan has become retro. Hulk Hogan has become cool again. So to come out and to hear how loud the fans are. To hear how loyal the fans are, it’s truly overwhelming. I just can’t believe I’ve been reborn in the WWE.

Hulk Hogan

WWE is a space where I thrived, and I loved, and I still do. I love connecting with an audience; that is the greatest thing about going back to WWE.

Dwayne Johnson

I love WWE, and I love that platform. There is no other platform in the world that gives me that instant gratification. There is just no other platform.

Dwayne Johnson

I would like to do commercials, or even work for WWE if they called me. I wouldn’t want to go back on the air or manage again, but I would like to be a spokesperson and do stuff like that.

Bobby Heenan

WWE asked me to be in the Hall of Fame, and I turned it down. You know why? They put Pete Rose in the wrestling Hall of Fame. This guy can’t even get into his own Hall of Fame.

Mr. T

I’m already the face of the UFC, plus the face of boxing, WWE, and Hollywood.

Conor McGregor

I’d love to go into WWE and have a real knock and see what’s what.

Conor McGregor

Back in the early days of WWE, I remember doing 20 interviews every Tuesday, one right after the other on different topics.

Roddy Piper

Sometimes It’s hard when you come from Mexico, because it’s a different style, but I had the advantage of my tours to Japan, and with that experience I was able to understand what WWE want from me.

Andrade

The generally big places in the world, the big countries for pro wrestling or lucha libre are Mexico, U.S.A., Japan, and U.K. And now WWE is in all countries and it’s different.

Andrade

The hardest thing for me was probably the different roles in the Performance Center because when you go to the Performance Center and become a WWE Superstar, you’re on a different schedule. But in the indies or in Mexico, you have your time.

Andrade

The WWE is a company that’s in the world. There are many languages. There’s India, there’s Spanish, Japanese, Chinese, many languages.

Andrade

Jonathan and Joshua Fatu, they are pretty much well secured there in WWE. I taught my kids everything they need to know in the industry, but I think they have nothing else to prove in WWE.

Rikishi

To me, you don’t want to go against the WWE Universe. You never want to do that. To me, what works is to go with the flow.

Rikishi

I grew up on WWE. Eddie Guerrero is my everything. He’s my hero, as are Shawn Michaels and Tiger Mask. I tried to model myself after them.

T. J. Perkins

About a year into my training, I got a call from WWE, and they signed me. I got signed right away to FCW, so my whole career has been pretty much in FCW and NXT.

Big Cass

I just want to get out there and see what else is going on, but I will be back; obviously, the goal is to get back to WWE.

Big Cass

I miss being on the road. I miss being in front of the fans of the WWE Universe. I miss being on RAW every Monday. I’m just really, really itching to get back.

Big Cass

It’s awesome to see the evolution of the women’s division in WWE.

Peyton Royce

I have never even considered a future outside the walls of the WWE. However, sometimes life takes an unexpected turn, and while it is the most difficult decision I have ever made, it is time for me to move on.

Shane McMahon

WWE and I have a long history, and I remember some very fun days back in the day.

Roddy Piper

The WWE gave me a family and a life.

Roddy Piper

I love WWE.

Pete Rose

I was miserable in WCW. I knew I wasn’t going to go any higher there, and jumping to WWE hadn’t even crossed my mind. I couldn’t stop wondering, ‘Is this it? Is this what I worked my whole life for?’

Eddie Guerrero

My home is at the WWE. I truly do love performing. The atmosphere here isn’t like anything else. It’s truly where I belong.

John Cena

We really do have a lot of personality in WWE. You have to, to be in this job. You showcase a lot of personality.

John Cena

I think the way WWE Studios is going now – they’re going away from action, doing more drama, more comedy – it will open a lot of people’s eyes. Because a lot of people see big guy, big frame: action superstar. We’ve proven, especially with ‘Legendary,’ that that is not always the case.

John Cena

When my job isn’t performing in a WWE ring, my job is to get back performing in that ring. When I’m hurt, all I have to do all day is get strong and get better. I’m a very dedicated physical therapy patient, and that helps a lot.

John Cena

I watch just as much WWE as almost anyone, but I love to. It’s something I enjoy doing. I don’t force myself to watch. I get excited for Mondays. I get excited to see the show.

John Cena

My hats off to anybody filming action, because you get beat up. If I’m going to get the crap kicked out of me, I would love 15,000 people on hand to tell me that I’m doing good or I’m doing bad. So, if I’m going to be in any physical duress, I’d really like it to be in a WWE ring, which is why I was so amped to be a part of ‘Trainwreck.’

John Cena

Oftentimes, WWE lives in its own bubble because it is forever moving. Oftentimes, a motion picture will live in its own bubble because they have a certain amount of time to get everything done. It’s just, when you connect the two and get everything straightened out, truly, it may take a little elbow grease.

John Cena

What I do for Make-A-Wish is I make children and families that are up against some pretty tough circumstances, I let them come into our WWE universe, and I do my best to make them feel good. I’ve seen a lot of kids and a lot of families happy, and I think people are going to watch ‘American Grit’ and have emotional moments.

John Cena

I guess my mission statement is now to let the world know on a global scale that WWE certainly is a wonderful form of entertainment, but its superstars are more than just superstars inside the ring. They do so much more outside the ring and have so much more to offer.

John Cena

The Wonderful pistachios campaign is a great example – I don’t involve myself with a project I don’t feel passionate about. I could talk your ear off about internal statistics for WWE and what we have planned for the future. Why do I know that stuff? Because I like to do all that stuff.

John Cena

There is no ‘off’ being John Cena: it’s always on. In a way, I think that has helped me, because over the years I have been able to be humble. I have been able to be humiliated in front of the WWE universe in a good way.

John Cena

At my age, I’m not trying to score cool points. I’m just excited when I can speak to younger members of our audience in the WWE. I just get to be a superhero to kids, but I’m not trying to be on the cutting edge of style or anything like that. Once you reach that point of deprivation, you don’t mind it.

John Cena

What is WWE?

World Wrestling Entertainment, WWE, is an integrated American media and entertainment company, known primarily for professional wrestling. Additionally, WWE has branched out into other areas, including films, sports, and other business projects.

The name of the WWE also refers to the professional wrestling promotion itself, which was founded as the Capitol Wrestling Corporation in the 1950s.

It is the world’s largest wrestling promotion, hosting more than 500 events a year, with the roster split into various regional traveling groups, and is open to about 36 million viewers in more than 150 nations.

The corporate headquarters of the organization are in Stamford, Connecticut, about 30 miles from New York City, with branches in major cities around the world.

WWE shows are not legitimate contests, as in other professional wrestling promotions, but purely entertainment-based performance theatre, featuring storyline-driven, scripted, and choreographed matches, although matches often include moves that can put performers at risk of injury, even death, if not performed correctly.
