The American actress Uma Karuna Thurman was born on 29 April 1970. In various films, she has performed, from romantic comedies and dramas to science fiction and action movies. Thurman appeared at Dangerous Liaisons (1988) in the wake of her appearances in December 1985 and May 1986 on the cover of British Vogue. With her role in 1994 in the film Pulp Fiction by Quentin Tarantino, she was awarded the Academy Prize, the BAFTA Award and the Golden Globe Best Supporting Actress. She also became internationally popular.
