Who is Louis Leo Holtz ?
Louis Leo Holtz is a former football player, coach and analyst. Louis Holtz is born on January 6th 1937. He worked at the University of William & Mary (1969-1971), at North Carolina State University (1972-1975) and at New York Jets (1976), at Arkansas University (1977-1983), at Minnesota University (1984-85), at Notre Dame University (1986-96).
The career records were compiled by the University of South Carolina (1999–2004) between 249 and 132-7. In 1988, Holtz’s Notre Dame team won the Fiesta Bowl 12-0, becoming the national champion of consensus.
Holtz is the only university football trainer who conducts six different bowl games programmes, and the only coach to conduct four different programs in the last top 20.
As a College Soccer Analyst, Holtz joined ESPN in 2005. Holtz was named to the Football Hall of Fame College on 1 May 2008 Holtz was originally from Follansbee, West Virginia, and raised as a Roman Catholic in East Liverpool, Ohio. He studied at the high school in East Liverpool.
Holtz went to Kent State University after high school. He was a member of the brotherhood of Delta Upsilon, was a college soccer player and a history graduate in 1959.
In addition, Holtz trained as a Field Artillery Officer on the U.S. Army Reserve at Kent State’s military reserve training corps and at graduation from college received the commission.
In 1960 in Iowa and then he began his coaching career as an assistant at William & Mary (1961–63), Connecticut (1964–65), South Carolina (1966–67) and Ohio State (1968), where he received a Master degree. In 1968, the football team of Ohio State Buckeyes won a national championship with a member of Holtz.
