What is Impoverished?

Impoverished may not have enough material possessions or income to meet the needs of a individual. The impoverished can include social , economic and political aspects.

Absolute deprivation is a total lack of the resources necessary to meet basic personal needs , such as food, clothing and shelter. The threshold at which the absolute impoverished is established is always about the same, regardless of the permanent location or era of the individual.

On the other hand, relative poverty occurs when a person can not meet a minimum standard of living compared to others at the same time and place. Thus, the level at which relative poverty is described differs from one country to another, or from one culture to another.

For example , a person who can not afford better housing than a small open air tent would be said to live in relative poverty if almost everyone else in the region lives in modern brick houses, but not if everyone else still lives in small open-air tents (for example, in the Nomadic tribe).

Governments and non-governmental organisations are working to reduce poverty.Providing basic needs to citizens who are unable to raise enough money may be hampered by limitations on the government’s ability to provide services, such as corruption , tax avoidance, debt and loan conditionality, and the brain drain on health care and education professionals.

Improved income approaches to make basic needs more available usually include healthcare, economic freedoms and the provision of financial services.
