Henry Kissinger was born as Heinz Alfred Kissinger on May 27, 1923) is an American politician, diplomat, and diplomatic strategist who worked under the presidential administrations of Richard Nixon and Gerald Ford as United States Secretary of State and National Security Advisor. A Jewish refugee who had escaped with his family from Nazi Germany in 1938, he became National Security Adviser in 1969 and U.S. State Minister, in 1973.
