George Walton Lucas Jr. (born May 14, 1944) is an American moviemaker, philanthropist, and businessman. Lucas is best known for creating franchises for Star Wars and Indiana Jones, and for founding Lucasfilm, LucasArts and Industrial Light & Magic. He served as Lucasfilm's president until selling it in 2012 to The Walt Disney Company.
