Who is Frank Lloyd Wright ?
The American designer, interior designer, author and educator had more than 70 years of creative life and designed more than 1.000 structures, of which 532 were completed. Frank Lloyd Wright ‘s work was held from 8 Jun 1867 to 9 April 1959.
The concept he called organic architecture, Wright believed to construct structures in accordance with humanity and its environment. Fallingwater (1935), called “the best all-time architecture in American architecture,” was best shown to demonstrate the philosophy.
In his work, Wright, the founder of organic architecture, played a key role in architectural movements of the 20th century, influencing three generations of architects around the globe.
Wright was the pioneer of the so-called Prairie School Architecture Movement and also developed his unique view of urban planning in the United States, the conception of a Usonian home in Broadacre City.
Wright designed creative and original offices, churches , schools, sky-crapers, hotels, museums and other structures as well as his homes. In these buildings, he also often designed interior elements, including furnishings and stained glass. Wright has written twenty books and numerous articles and has been a popular American and European lecturer.
Wright was honored as the “best American architect of all times” by the American Institute of Architects in 1991. In 2019, Frank Lloyd Wright’s 20th-century architecture was listed as a world heritage site for a collection of his works.
