The 14th Dalai Lama, born in the Dalai Lama, is the new Dalai Lama, shortened to Jetsun Jamphel Ngawang Lobsang Yeshe Tenzin Gyatso. He has been traveling around the world and talked about Tibetan welfare, the environment, the economy, the rights of women, non-violence, interfaith dialogue, physics, astronomy, Buddhism, science, cognitive neuroscience, reproductive and sexual health, as well as various subjects on Mahayana and Vajrayana Buddhist teachings. Time Magazine called him one of the 'Children of Mahatma Gandhi' and the spirit successor to the non-violence of Gandhi, a Nobel Peace Prize winner in 1989 and the United States Congressional Gold Medal in 2006.
