What is Cholera?
Cholera is an infectious condition that causes severe watery diarrhea which, if untreated, can lead to dehydration and death. It is caused by food consumption or by potable water contaminated by a vibrio cholerae.
The cholera was prevalent in the US in the 1800s and was eliminated by contaminated water in modern water and wastewater treatment systems. Only approximately 10 cases of cholera are reported in the United States every year and half are purchased abroad.
Cholera outbreaks in the US were rarely triggered by contaminated seafood. In other areas of the world, however, cholera outbreaks continue to be a grave problem. There are 1.3 million to 4 million cases annually, the World Health Organization says.

Causes Of Cholera

v) Caught in water contaminated by sewage, crude or undercooked fish and seafood
Symptoms Of Cholera
The symptoms of cholera are given below:
i) Quick cardiac rates
ii) Loss of elasticity of the skin (the ability to return quickly if punched)
iii) Macrolide, inside, throat, nose, and eyelashes, including the mouth.
iv) Low pressure of the blood
v) Cramps on muscle
Cholera symptoms may start within a few hours or 5 days after infection. The symptoms are usually mild. They’re very serious, however, sometimes.
Someone in 20 infected persons have severe watery diarrhea , which can lead to dehydration quickly, and vomiting. Although many people who are infected may have minimal or no symptoms, they can still help to spread the infection.
