Who is Adam Smith?
Adam Smith was an economist and philosopher of Scottish politics. His powerful book The Wealth of Nations (1776) has made him famous. Smith was the son of Kirkcaldy, Fife, Scotland’s customs checker.
It is unknown the precise date of his birth. He was baptized on June 5, 1723, at Kirkcaldy, however, his dad had died some six months earlier.
